Hoping to give the Lionesses the edge they need to take the step beyond the semi-final stage that they’ve reached in the past two major tournaments, Nike have launched the England 2019 WWC home and away kits.
The new trend ahead of the 2019 Women’s World Cup in France is for teams to have their own kits, separate from the senior men’s teams. And that’s going to be the case for England also, as they prepare to embark on their quest for glory in innovative kits that have been designed specifically for the Women’s Senior football team ahead of the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2019.
Fresh from their success in the SheBelieves Cup, the Lionesses will head into the tournament wearing a new take on the traditional white kit, accented by dark red cuffs. The stunning away kit is a dark red crush colour, which is a unique darker shade of red exclusively for the women’s team, and it incorporates the St. George’s Cross on the shirt and a tonal crest unique to the Lionesses. It also features a custom hand-drawn print for the Lionesses, highlighting specific flora native to the counties and regions of England, and this design also features on the home kit’s socks.
Nike have created designs for each of its sponsored nations heading to the tournament this year, and the fit of all team kits have been designed to specifically support female footballers, enabling them to perform to their best at the highest level.
The Nike England 2019 WWC home and away kits will be worn in upcoming fixtures and will be available from prodirectsoccer.com in May.
