Helping girls around the world reach their potential: it’s a common goal shared by Nike and London-based activist and model Adwoa Aboah, and the two have now come together to launch a special edition shirt that celebrates Adwoa’s story as well as representing her community platform, ‘Gurls Talk’.

Gurls Talk exists as an online community in which young women can talk openly, free of prejudice. Focusing on the incredible power of sport, the combination with Nike celebrates the stories of girls creating essential change in their community, and it has already helped thousands of girls in achieving their goals. The collaboration with Adwoa Aboah arrives at a time when Nike are pushing the boundaries surrounding females in sport ever-further, boosting self confidence and promoting participation.

The Unisex Nike x Adwoa Aboah shirt features the model and activist’s initials in a standout flaming "AA" logo in the sponsors slot, beneath the Gurls Talk crest, while it also carries Adwoa’s lucky number 3 on its back and her favourite buzzword ‘Mega’ in reflective print across both arms.

This project represents the second time that Nike have worked with Aboah, after the Gurls Talk x Made to Play Fund aimed to find a way to connect with girls in hard-to-reach places and break down their barriers to accessing sport.
