Celebrating the club’s return to Europe’s premier competition, New Balance launch the Lille OSC home, away and third shirts under the campaign header “Face Anything. Fear Nothing”, which celebrates the Club’s rich traditions and beliefs.
You don’t tend to get many clubs releasing all three of their kits in one hit, but New Balance and Lille have done just that, dispensing with the teasing and laying it on the line for all to see. And it’s quite the sight. Inspired by the raw and creative energy visible across Lille’s street art, the home shirt comes in high risk red in the lower section and that transitions to navy across the shoulders thanks to an eye catching graphic that marks it out as the stand-out shirt of the three.
Drawing inspiration from the flag of Flanders – the region in the north of France in which Lille is situated – the away shirt has a mimosa yellow base with phantom black trim detailing on the sleeves and on the sponsor and branding.
Finally, the third shirt celebrates the resurgence of Lille, with the design inspired by the club crest, which was introduced in 2018. The hexagonal series of lines radiate out from it, highlighting its position on the left of the chest, right above the heart.
Kenny McCallum, General Manager at New Balance Football said: “Last season was fantastic for everyone connected to the Club. We really wanted to harness this fresh enegy to create a suite of designs that not only celebrate LOSC’s identity but also truly excite the fans.”
Lille OSC defender, Jose Fonte, said: “These kits are so different to what we have seen before. We love the energy, vibrancy and we hope this will translate to the fans when we’re wearing them on matchdays. We are excited to wear the new kits in the League and in Europe.”
