Ready for select days away from St James’ Park, PUMA launch the Newcastle United 2019/20 third shirt, with a design that is inspired by the steel and glass structure that reaches out over the Milburn Stand and Leazes End of the club’s home ground.
Arriving in a vibrant orange colourway, the Newcastle United third shirt for the upcoming season features a stunning sublimated graphic that runs throughout. That graphic is actually a depiction of the steel and glass roof that covers the Milburn Stand and Leazes End of St James’ Park, and it provides a nice two-toned effect. The orange is joined by navy accents on the collar, branding and, thankfully, on the sponsor, lending the shirt an all-round pleasing aesthetic.
We mention the sponsor through gritted teeth, after the release of the Newcastle 2019/20 home shirt, which could have been so good… Shame they’re not sponsored by Paddy Power, because take away that jarring sponsor and it would’ve been one of the best shirts of the season. Anyway, back to business, the same ‘NUFC’ callout from the home shirt appears below the rear collar of the third shirt, while the kit is completed by shorts and socks of the same bright orange colouring.
The Newcastle 2019/20 third shirt will be available at nufcdirect.com from 1 August.
