National League South Champions Torquay United have rolled out their complete set of Nike kits for the 2019/20 as the club mark their 120th year, and a return to national football. The home, away and third shirts all drop with clinically stylish looks for the new campaign.
Following on from the recently released 'Special Edition' shirt to celebrate the club's title winning 2018/19 season, all three jerseys feature the club's formation year of '1899' in place of any sponsor. It's a bold move from a lower-league club – not to opt for an official shirt sponsor – but what they've got instead is a stunning collection of shirts with full design ownership belonging to the club.
The special edition black jersey sold out thanks to it's classy design, so it's no surprise to see The Gulls stay close to that template with the 2019/20 kits. The home shirt arrives in the club's traditional yellow colour, with the away shirt donning a shade of blue. Torquay's club colours stem from the club's (sometimes) sunny seaside location in South Devon. The alternative third shirt takes on a crisp white design with the same gold detailing that featured on the aforementioned special edition drop.
The Gulls rebranded their club crest a couple of seasons ago for a more minimal and clinical design, and this set complements that move with a crisp execution across all three jerseys. Torquay United will be in their home kit when they kick off their National League season at home to Boreham Wood at Plainmoor on August 3rd.
