Kappa Launch The Leeds United Centenary Shirt

To mark the club's 100th birthday Kappa have launched a limited edition Leeds United home shirt with a retrolicious twist. A majestic design that perfectly captures the premium nature of this landmark achievement of one of England's most historic football clubs.

Just 1919 shirts have been made as a nod to the club's founding year, and each one comes in a special presentation box along with a book about the history of the club (Spoiler alert: It all goes a bit downhill after 2002). Needless to say with a fanbase the size of Leeds, that all 1919 shits sold out in a matter of minutes upon launch. With that lovely little laced collar and golden detailing you can see why.

The shirt is a twist on the traditional all white home shirts of Leeds and features a bespoke gold-stitched crest which calls out the date they were founded and the date of this year. The Kappa logo blends into the background in white to let the club take centre stage, while a special edition tag sits towards the bottom of the shirt to confirm its authenticity. A subtle Yorkshire Rose is also subtly placed into the body of the shirt to round off one of the most stylish limited edition shirts of the 2019/20 season.

The shirt might have gone, but there's a load more Leeds Centenary Memorabilia on the club's store.
