To help the club celebrate its 75th anniversary, New Balance have unveiled a special edition shirt for Lille OSC, which the side will wear when they face Dijon FCO in Ligue 1 this Saturday.
A tribute to the early years of LOSC, the Lille OSC commemorative shirt sees the return of the distinctive ‘V’ design, which sits boldy across the chest in rhubarb and tawny port shades, contrasting nicely with the white base. The ‘V’ design also features the Fleur de Lis, the Club’s first ever crest following the merger of Olympique Lillois and SC Fives 75 years ago in 1944.
A limited number of the commemorative shirts will be made available, each embossed with the Lille emblem in High Risk Red, under which the club has won three league titles and six Coupe de France titles.
General Manager of New Balance Football, Kenny McCullum said: “The 75th anniversary jersey is a fitting tribute to a hugely important milestone for LOSC. The Club has an incredible story to tell and is looking to add to that history. We really wanted to create a design that celebrates their identity and this shirt does exactly that.”
The Lille OSC Commemorative Shirt is available to purchase at LOSC club stores now.
