Nike Launch Special Edition Red Bull Bragantino Jersey

To celebrate Brazilian side Bragantino’s Serie B win recently, Nike have provided a special edition shirt, which is inspired by the club's famous carijó jersey. Bragantino wore the shirt in their last match of the season against Clube de Regatas Brasil.

Brazilian side Bragantino recently merged with Red Bull Brasil to become the latest team to join the Red Bull family, officially becoming RB Bragantino for their upcoming 2020 campaign. But just prior to that, the club were crowned champions of the 2019 Serie B, meaning a promotion to Serie A and qualification for the 2020 Copa do Brasil round of 16. It’s a huge achievement, and to honour it, Nike have launched a special, limited edition shirt.

Whilst the team wore the shirt in their last game of the season – a 2-0 win over CRB – it has also been made available for retail, albeit in very limited numbers. There were originally 1,990 shirts made available, but over 1,000 of those were sold within an hour of their initial launch online on 30 November. And with the demand high, Nike are set to make the last batch available in the near future.

The design of the shirt sees a white base joined by the famous carijó graphic print through the lower section of the shirt. On the back, under the collar, are the years 1989 and 1990 in acknowledgment of some of the club’s greatest achievements. As a nice finishing touch, all jerseys are identified with serial numbers, which makes each more special; a way of honouring the city and the fans who have embraced the club since the beginning of their new journey.
