Having picked up the Western Conference title and Supporters’ Shield last year, LAFC will be looking to go one better in 2020 by bringing home a first-ever MLS Cup. And they’ve now unveiled their new primary look for the campaign, which still combines the iconic club colours of black and gold.

Unveiled alongside the other 25 MLS club shirts for 2020 from adidas, LAFC’s new primary jersey for 2020 celebrates the roots of its community, with design retaining the classic black look that Bob Bradley’s side wore while breaking records galore last season to become statistically the best team in MLS regular-season history. And it’s now been captured in a lookbook that’s been shot in and around the very heart of the 3252 community.

The design itself features embossed black stripes that pay homage to global football culture. Across the shoulder is the black adidas EQT Three Stripes, while the jock tag is home to the club’s black 3D raised community rally flag. Inside the jersey is the “Shoulder to Shoulder” gold neck tape, a commitment co-created by the 3252 and the Club to build together. The club crest is displayed above the heart, along with the primary kit sponsor YouTube TV and new sleeve patch partner Target, all of which adopt the gold colouring for an all-round aesthetically pleasing package.
