Preparing to enter into a fourth season together, Nike launch the Tottenham Hotspur 20/21 Training Wear Collection, which features a combination of “Lava Glow” and “Binary Blue” across tees, drill tops, tracksuit trousers and shorts, while a standout design is reserved for the new pre-match shirt.
Tottenham Hotspur signed a new 15-year deal with Nike in 2017, worth a reported £30 million a year, and for the fourth season with Spurs, the Swoosh have taken a radical approach to the training collection that’s bound to cause a measure of controversy. The new training wear collection for the 2020/21 season features a “Lava Glow” and “Binary Blue” colourway spread across the range, while a standout textured blue-and-yellow design has been reserved for the new pre-match shirt.
Whether this collection is an indicator of what’s to come with the on-pitch kits will have to be seen, but it’s certainly a bold move that’s sure to court controversy amongst fans, with the “Lava Glow” edging towards a pink shade. The full collection features a Vaporknit strike drill top and a training tee in the look that places the “Lava Glow” in the primary position, with navy supporting, while the Dry Strike track jacket, Vaporknit Strike pants and Dry Strike shorts invert that look, placing the emphasis on the navy, toning the pink elements down.
