Commencing a new partnership ahead of the coming campaign, Kappa launch the Fiorentina 20/21 home and away shirts. Using a colourway of the club’s classic colours of purple and white, and inverting that for the away strip, Kappa have started life in Florence of with a smooth serving of symmetry.
There aren’t enough purple kits in the world, but that’s what sets Fiorentina apart. And now Kappa have an initial six-year spell in which to play in that park, after it was announced that they have signed a new commercial deal with the club. And first up is a smooth design that’s carried across both the home and away shirts, inverting the classic club colours across the latter to place the white as the dominant colour for the away shirt.
The design sees the iconic Kappa Banda running down the shoulders and popping in white on the purple base. It’s joined by white details through the collar, sleeve cuffs, sponsor and branding, while that’s obviously reversed for the away shirt. Tidy first effort.
“We’re very pleased to be embarking on a new adventure with Kappa, a brand we were very keen to work with on account of its Italian identity and its many years of experience in the world of sport,” said Fiorentina general director Joe Barone. “I’m sure that, working together, we’ll be able to create collections which combine great variety with technical innovation and Italian traditions for our teams and our fans.”
