PUMA Launch AC Milan 20/21 Third Shirt

Milan rarely fails to disappoint, at least when it comes to fashion that is, and that’s proven the case once again as PUMA launch the AC Milan third shirt for the 20/21 season, continuing the ‘Crafted by Culture’ theme that began with the new home shirt.

Inspired by the trail blazing designs of Milan’s Alta Moda, the AC Milan 20/21 third shirt joins the recently released home shirt, and it integrates the iconic Houndstooth pattern into the design, celebrating Milanese and Italian high-end fashion, and it is printed tone on tone onto the bottom half of the teal jersey. What's the matter, did you not get the memo that teal was in this season?

The Houndstooth pattern itself is characterised by an almost checked appearance, made up of a repeating geometric block. The pattern originated in Scotland and traditionally utilises dark and light alternating checks. The pattern quickly became a staple pattern in wool suiting and outwear and became a pattern frequently utilised in Italian high-end fashion. To include a Milan specific detail, PUMA have rotated the original Houndstooth pattern 45 degrees to showcase the ‘M’ in the patterns design.
