Taking care of business in one fell swoop, PUMA launch the Valencia 20/21 home, away and third shirts, with designs that take inspiration from three representatives from the city itself.
No messing when it comes to PUMA and Valencia, as the pair launch the club’s 20/21 home, away and third shirts in one hit. Fast, efficient, now focus on the football, like it. But that doesn’t mean that there’s been a sacrifice in terms of story behind the shirts, or indeed the quality of their designs, with each taking inspiration from three iconic representatives of the city: the Lonja de la Seda, the orange industry and the painter Joaquín Sorolla.
The home shirt sticks with the traditional white colour, but with an elegant pattern inspired by the ribbed vault of the emblematic building of the Silk Exchange, offering a celebration of the culture of the city as the focus and life force of the club and its DNA. The sleeves and neck then come in black for a clean contrast.
The away shirt, which comes in a vibrant orange colour, is inspired by the orange industry, one of the economic engines of the Valencian Community. A unique print on the orange then features, lending the shirt a texture that’s bordered by a navy stripe on the shoulders.
And finally, the third shirt collects the light of the Mediterranean and is inspired by the works of the Valencian painter Joaquín Sorolla, with a soft print in a combination of gray, lavender and sky blue tones.
Three bespoke designs full of story that’s entwined in the city itself. Can’t ask for more, and that’s job done.
