Looking at the obvious influence of Portugal on the team, adidas and Wolverhampton Wanderers have unveiled the club’s third shirt for the 20/21 season, and it it just a little bit familiar…
From manager Nuno Espirito Santos to players such as Diogo Jota, Rúben Neves, Pedro Neto, Daniel Podence, Ruben Vinagre, Joao Moutinho and Rui Patricio to name but a few, we all know that Wolves have a heavy Portuguese influence, but this is taking it to a whole other level! Yep, for their third shirt, Wolverhampton Wanderers’ transformation into actual Portugal is all but complete, as adidas unveil the new Maroon design for the Premier League side’s third shirt for the 20/21 season.
With that Maroon base borders by pops of green through the collar cuffs and branding, the look clearly takes inspiration from Portugal. And why not? It’s a good looking shirt, for sure. Even the usually jarring ManBetX sponsor logo gets on board with the green and doesn’t look so bad. So yeah, not a bad effort all round, and a nice little nudge and wink at Wolves’ increasing influence from the continent. It’s certainly better than their away shirt…
The new third shirt is available for preorder at shop.wolves.co.uk now.
