Nike Launch Pumas 20/21 Third Shirt

Celebrating the sports culture and pride of the Club and the National Autonomous University of Mexico, Pumas UNAM launch their Nike 2021 Third Shirt, which adopts a golden base look accented with navy details.

As with the home and away kits, the new third shirt sees the traditional Pumas crest surrounded by a triangular outline — a symbol of unity and tradition among players and fans that proudly upholds the three pillars of the university: education, research and cultural diffusion. Where the home and away kits featured white and navy base colours respectively, the third shirt goes bold with a gold base that’s featured previously in the club’s past.

Gold is often implemented by the Liga MX side for their special shirts, with it having featured in a 50/50 split design on last season’s third shirt. But here it dominates the design, and is more reminiscent of the special edition Día de Muertos (Day of the Dead) shirt from 2018 as well as the third shirt from that same season.

The design sees sublimated diagonal faded stripes running through the body, with the navy applications featuring om the collar, sponsor, branding and the ever-impressive club crest.

The new Pumas 2021 third shirt will be available at prodirectsoccer.com from 4 February.
