Having sealed an incredibly impressive ninth Bundesliga title in a row, Bayern Munich’s attention turns to next season, with the club and adidas launching the new away shirt for the 21/22 season. The German champions will wear the new kit in their final game of the season against FC Augsburg.
Everyone loves a black and gold kit, and last season we had a couple of belters in that category, including the Ajax and West Ham third and Barcelona away strips. The design of the new away jersey impresses with its golden accents, which stand out all the more on the black base. The club crest, lettering and numbers on the back, branding and sponsor logo all appear in gold, an obvious nod to the trophies the club has won. A subtle dot graphic stretches across the chest in two areas to lend the design an added depth.
Just below the round neck collar on the back is the highlight of the jersey: the "Münchner Kindl". The emblematic figure of the city of Munich features on the jersey and symbolises the club's ties to the Bavarian capital, acting as a reminder of the roots of Germany’s most successful club.
