With eyes fixed firmly on the coming 21/22 campaign, Eintracht Frankfurt have unveiled their new home shirt from Nike. The design takes a trip to the dark side, with a black base joined by red accents.
Eintracht Frankfurt enjoyed a decent campaign in the Bundesliga last season, narrowly missing out on Champions League qualification. So they’ll be looking to push on that extra step in the 21/22 season, and they’ll be doing so in their new home shirt, which the club have recently unveiled. The design sees a departure from last season’s stripes, instead opting for a predominantly black out design.
That black is complemented by pops of red through the side stripes and then through that retro collar. White accents feature in the branding, club crest and sponsor, while the DPD sleeve sponsor fits relatively well into the design. The club initials “SGE” are affixed to the neck and the Eintracht eagle in black and white on the chest.
As with all of Nike’s kits this season, the new jersey from Eintracht Frankfurt, which the professionals will wear on the field, as well as the replica jerseys for the fans are made from 100 percent recycled polyester fabric, which is obtained from recycled plastic bottles.
This creates a jersey that delivers top performance and at the same time has less impact on the environment. The plastic bottles are collected, cleaned and melted down to produce high quality yarn for manufacture. This is part of Nike's “Move to Zero” initiative, in which football clothing plays a pioneering role in sustainability.
