Using the club’s iconic lion as the inspiration, Kappa unveil the new Aston Villa 21/22 third shirt. The design sees a navy base with a contrasted ‘lions’ claws’ graphic throughout.
Kappa have been bringing about some of the best bespoke kits on the scene this season, and one club that has benefitted from the brand’s approach is Aston Villa, who already boast a fresh take on their traditional home look, alongside a return of pinstripe for their away shirt. Now they add something that sits a little more on the radical side, with the drop of the club’s third shirt for the 21/22 season.
The new Villa third shirt has been designed around the legendary Villa lion, an iconic feature in the crest throughout the club’s history, dating back to their foundation in 1874.The claw marks feature on the front and back of the shirt, and the lion is printed on the back collar. The kit is then completed with pops of “Celadon Green” that feature on the club crest, the Kappa omini logos, the sponsor Cazoo, and on the inserts on the back panel, cuffs and collar.
Both the KOMBAT PRO 2022 and the REPLICA version of the kit will feature a 3-dimension silicon badge. The KOMBAT PRO 2022 version worn on pitch by the players will feature the Kombat Pro System technology so dear to Kappa and synonymous with ultra-resistant, elastic and breathable material within the main fabric and a fully stretch bottom part of the sleeves.”
