adidas Reveal Bayern Munich 21/22 Oktoberfest Shirt

Unfortunately, the Munich Oktoberfest will not take place again this year due to the pandemic. But that hasn’t stopped adidas and Bayern Munich showing their support for the festival, releasing a special fourth kit, which the team will wear once in the upcoming Bundesliga match on 18 September 2021 against VfL Bochum.

Oktoberfest is a massive part of Bavarian culture, and to honour that culture – even in the absence of the festival itself – adidas have produced the Wiesn jersey – designed to celebrate the world’s most famous folk festival, the Wiesn. The kit is intended to express the club's bond with its home and its traditions, and to show what Oktoberfest and the German record champions are known for globally: openness, socialising, a joy of living and a sense of tradition.

The jersey is dark green, with gold accents on the sleeves, three stripes on the shoulders & sponsor logos – all combining to create a connection with the traditional costume. The special embroidery of the jersey is inspired by Bavarian craftsmanship, with the typical Oktoberfest alpine edelweiss also shown on the neck.

Unlike the special Bayern Munich ‘Oktoberfest’ Mash up jersey created by Participation Trophy Studio last year, the Wiesn jersey is an official shirt that's set to be worn in the Allianz Arena this Saturday, 18 September, when Bayern take on VFL Bochum.
