New Balance Launch AS Roma 21/22 Fourth Shirt

Adding to their already impressive wardrobe, Roma now have a beautifully bespoke fourth shirt for the 21/22 season, courtesy of New Balance. The ASR Edition shirt, as it’s known, is set to debut in the side’s Europa Conference League match against Bodo/Glimt on 21 October..

Roma have built a reputation as one of the most stylish sides in Europe, and that reputation has continued to grow since New Balance came in as technical partners at the start of the current campaign. The American brand have provided the Giallorossi with an outstanding home and away shirt combo, and the ranks are now bolstered by the arrival of a new fourth shirt, oddly skipping the release of a third shirt… Guess that's one to look forward to.

The ASR Edition fourth shirt revisits the iconic badge that appeared on Giallorossi shirts during the successful period between 1997 and 2013, during which time the side won lo scudetto, two Coppa Italia and two Supercoppa Italiana titles.

Much like the 19/20 season, the traditional red home shirt and white away shirt is joined by a navy option. That navy base incorporates a tonal, sublimated Lupetto repeated throughout the body of the shirt, and the look is complemented by the delicate horizontal stripes in the club’s iconic yellow and red. The shirt also incorporates a crew neck collar and ribbon cuff details in yellow.

AS Roma’s El Shaarawy said: I really like the special details of this new kit. It's an honour to wear a badge that means so much to everyone connected to the club and I’m sure it will get a positive reaction from the fans.

Those words were backed up by General Manager of New Balance Football, Kenny McCallum, who said: New Balance’s bespoke jersey is a modern kit with a historic feel, that would feel authentic in any era. We know how important the badge is to the Romanisti and we are delighted that we've been able to celebrate such a special time in the club's history with this design”.
