Corinthians Debut New Nike 22/23 Away Shirt

Continuing the the “Golden Year” campaign that started with the club’s new home shirt, Nike launch the Corinthians 22/23 away jersey, celebrating 10 years of CONMEBOL Libertadores and Club World Cup victories.

Nike got Corinthians 22/23 wardrobe underway with the new home shirt recently, and they now follow that up with the new away shirt, which the Brazilian side debuted in their 0-1 win over RB Bragantino. The design comes in classic contrast to the white look of the home shirt, but it continues the celebration of the ten year anniversary of one of the greatest campaigns in the club’s recent history, in which the Brazilian side scooped both the Copa Libertadores and the Club World Cup in what is now dubbed the “Golden Year”.

The shirt design sees the traditional vertical white stripes give way to the image of the outline of the map of Sao Paulo State in black and grey tones. It maintains the crew neck and black sleeves with details in gold tones symbolising the golden year of 2012. The club's badge is made in tones of gold, the same as the home shirt. Inside the neck the inscription “The Favela is Here” appears – a phrase immortalised in the eyes of fans when it appeared on the scarf raised by Tite when they won the Club World Cup in Yokohama.

Inside the numbers, is written the phrase “Against everything and against all” – theme of the 2012 Libertadores conquest – with the same font used during the golden year. The numbering gets a texture inspired by the 2012 shirt, with a gold border matching the sleeve and collar.
