Introducing a subtle hint of gold to reflect both the past and present success of the club, adidas have unveiled the Ajax 22/23 home shirt. A traditional feel, the shirt introduces a pinstripe element in the white portion of the shirt for the reigning Eredivisie champions.
Ajax secured their latest Eredivisie title last season, and adidas have been quick to acknowledge that success, as well as the success hat the club has had in the past, with the subtle integration of the colour gold, a colour that has often made an appearance on the shirt since the introduction of the two, and eventually, three gold stars above the badge.
The shirt arrives with a traditional and unmistakeable Ajax look, that red centre bordered as always by white. The gold has been used tastefully, with subtle hits in the collar and cuffs and also in the outline of main sponsors Ziggo and GigaNet. The shirt also has full gold print on its back.
Aside from that, the shirt features a V-neck collar with various original details, such as a light pinstripe in the white portion of the shirt and with the three Xs of Andreas on the inside collar. As part of adidas’s continual drive for sustainability, the kit is made from 100 percent recycled material.
