Continuing the club’s ever-expanding legacy of street style, Jordan unveil the new PSG 22/23 away shirt, which will be debuted during the opening match of the club’s Japan Tour against defending J-League champions Kawasaki Frontale at Tokyo’s National Stadium on 20 July.
Following on from the launch of the club’s home shirt, PSG and Jordan continue their alliance, despite the exclusivity of their deal coming to an end. The pair have now unveiled the new away shirt, with a design that pays tribute to the legendary Parc des Princes stadium, which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year and in which PSG has played 1,147 matches to date. The kit arrives alongside the now-obligatory performance, training and lifestyle ranges, and the collection includes the highly anticipated Air Jordan 5 Low PSG shoe, which was introduced to the world in July by American basketball player Zion Williamson during a visit to Quai 54 in Paris.
Predominantly grey with black, brown and brownish-grey variations, the away shirt arrives with a look that’s not all that dissimilar to the first white away kit from the Jumpman, back in 2018. Here, the centre stripe features a gradient execution, fading out towards its centre to allow space for the ‘Qatar Airways’ sponsor. A single button collar adds something a little extra to the design, while the shorts follow the Chicago Bulls-inspired look of last season’s home shorts.
