The Amakhosi get their new wardrobe ahead of the 22/23 season, with Nike unveiling the Kaizer Chiefs home and away kits in one go.
As has been the case in the past for the Kaizer Chiefs, the South African club take care of kit business in one hit, revealing their new home and away shirts from Nike in one go. And while the home kit sticks with the traditional colours, as you’d expect, the away reverts back to a white look reminiscent of the kits used from 2007 to 2010.
The Amakhosi often get some wild looks for their home shirts, with Nike pushing the boundaries of convention and tradition with some expressive designs, and this season is no different. The iconic gold and black represents the soul of Kaizer Chiefs, and it features a pattern on a high vibrational frequency that measures energy, connectivity and balance. What it gives us is a yet another trippy look that shares DNA with the 19/20 home shirt.
For the away it’s a far cleaner affair. Gone is the black of last season, with white returning for the first time since 19/20, although this look has far more in common with the 09/10 look. It’s fresh with a minimalist design with modern style. The white base is joined by gold trim in the collar, back neck and sponsor and branding. Simple but effective.
