PSG Debut 22/23 Jordan Away Kit

Paris Saint-Germain have just got their preseason off to a winning start, recording a 2-1 win against defending J-League champions Kawasaki Frontale at Tokyo’s National Stadium, and they did so in their new away kit from Jordan.

Having made their way to Japan for their preseason tour, PSG unveiled their new away kit for the 22/23 season before promptly debuting it in their 2-1 win over Kawasaki Frontale. Goals from Lionel Messi and Arnaud Kalimuendo ensured a winning start for the latest instalment in the PSG x Jordan legacy. And the shirt also featured a fabulous new font on the back, teasing what looks to be an upcoming collaboration with graphic designer and member of the collective VK DESIGN WORKS, VERDY.

Arriving alongside the now obligatory performance, training and lifestyle ranges, which included the new Air Jordan 5, the design of the new away kit pays tribute to the legendary Parc des Princes stadium, which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year and in which PSG has played 1,147 matches to date.

As mentioned, for its debut the shirts featured names and numbers imprinted in VERDY’s style, along with mascot Vick overlapping the numbers. Could well be that this is hinting at a wider collaboration to come, and let’s face it, that wouldn’t be the biggest surprise from the kings of the collab game.

The shirt is joined by shorts that follow the Chicago Bulls-inspired look of last season’s home shorts, with Jumpman-adorned socks completing the on-pitch look.
