On the club's 96th birthday, Fiorentina have unveiled the 22/23 Kombat Pro Third Kit by Kappa Sport. The gold colour and details are a nod to the Hall of the Lilies, one of Florence's most iconic locations.
Now, we’re not ones to get behind celebrating an anniversary every year when it comes to football clubs (let’s keep it to at least every 25 years, people) but when shirts are as good as Fiorentina’s latest third shirt from Kappa, we’re willing to turn overlook it. Released in celebration of the Italian side’s 96th year of existence, the design sees a navy base with golden accents (navy and gold is the new black and gold, don’t you know), but the beauty is in the sublimated graphic that’s spread across the front of the body.
Dedicated to the Hall of the Lilies in Florence, one of the landmarks of the Tuscan capital, the shirt follows the new home and away shirts in being the first set to feature the club’s new crest, unveiled back in March of this year. But it goes one step further, using that new crest as the aforementioned graphic, reproduced fully in different sizes, tone on tone through the front of the shirt. The cuffs, hem, branding, sponsor and new crest all then appear in gold, echoing the colours of the room in Palazzo Vecchio made famous by a series of frescoes by Domenico Ghirlandaio, linking the city's history to the team's future.
The Fiorentina 22/23 third shirt is available now at the club's online store.
