With the Ligue 1 22/23 season now underway, Kappa reveal the AS Monaco third shirt for the season, and it sees the club in purple for the first time in its history. The shirt is set to be worn for the first time against Racing Club de Lens on Saturday 20 August.
Monaco and Kappa have enjoyed a fruitful partnership over the last three years, and they continue that into their fourth year and the 22/23 season. Both brand and club have worked closely together to design jerseys that combine the DNA of RISE.RISK.REPEAT, AS Monaco's brand, with the elegance of the Principality. Honouring that motto, the Principality’s Club breaks new ground by unveiling a colour never before worn by the Monegasques: purple.
The Monaco third shirt is adorned in a light purple colour for the first time in the Club's history, and it incorporates a tone-on-tone pattern on the front of the shirt that meticulously and elegantly reproduces the diamonds of the Principality's coat of arms, combined with thin diagonals, the Club's symbol for over sixty years, all for a futuristic and explosive graphic rendering. The AS Monaco emblem is affixed on the heart side in white monochrome, as are the Kappa omini and the main sponsor. The shirt is constructed from Kappa's signature Kombat Pro System technology, synonymous with ultra-resistant, elastic and breathable material.
