Doing things in their own way, Boca Juniors debuted their new away shirt for the 22/23 season from adidas ahead of it being officially revealed, wearing it in the 1-2 Primera Division win over Colón.
The Boca Juniors 22/23 homes shirt was revealed back in July, with a retro-infused design that recreated the 1990/92 look. Now the away shirt joins the ranks, and again it features a design that throws back to the 90s, specifically the 97/98 away shirt, and it also brings back the iconic central navy hoop, bordered in yellow. The classic white base also sees the same yellow and navy accents on the crew collar and cuffs, but the real talking point comes from the crest… or lack of it.
Following suit with last season’s home shirt the new away ditches the club’s traditional crest in favour of the “CABJ” lettering within individual stars, as has been used in the past. The shirt was unveiled and worn in the 1-2 win over Colón in the Argentinian Primera Division match, although it was without any sponsors, offering a clean presentation that likely won’t last.
