Celebrating the club’s 130th anniversary in a simple but striking style, Castore have released a limited edition Newcastle United jersey, which switches up the club's classic look.
Simple but effective, Castore have unveiled the 130th anniversary jersey for Newcastle United, marking the occasion with a stylish tweak on the club’s classic look. At this moment in time it’s unclear if the club will wear the kit in a game, but it looks unlikely. The design sees the traditional black and white stripes switched up for a black and grey combination, with sublimated graphics of the club’s iconic crest appearing alongside feathers throughout the shirt.
The Castore branding and club crest take up a central position on the chest, lending the whole design a nice touch of symmetry. Both are embroidered in a silver thread, lining up below the polo collar, which is finished with a hint of grey, as is the inside of the sleeve cuffs. On the back, a ‘130 years’ sign off appears at the bottom of the back, with a ‘NUFC’ stamp taking position vertically at the base of the neck.
A smart design, we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed that this might make it on to pitch.
