Taking a clean and simple approach to the design, Nike and Mexican side Club America have recently revealed the club’s third shirt for 2023, and it was debuted by the women’s side with the men’s following suit soon after.
Having topped the league in the Liga MX Apertura, the 22/23 Liga MX Clausura season now gathers pace, and Club America have revealed their latest third kit from Nike, which is set to be in use through the rest of 2023. It’s a clean design, with an off white “Sail” base colour, with contrasting black accents on collar, cuffs, branding and the numerous sponsors, as is commonplace with central and southern American club jerseys. It’s quite the step away from some of the club’s past designs, but it’s a welcome change of pace.
The kit was first debuted on 17 January by the women’s team, and it got off to a flying start with the side recording a 7-0 victory against Puebla. Sadly, the men’s team couldn’t match the result when they debuted the kit, again against Puebla, recording a 2-2 draw.
But the kit stood out on pitch, with the off white shirt being matched up with black shorts. And that wasn’t the only reveal, with a typically stylish prematch jersey also getting a debut ahead of the clash. It sees black and greys combined in a wild geometric design, offering a visually striking alternative to the on-pitch kit.
