Once again taking focus on an Italian minnow side on the outskirts of Rome for a complete on-pitch visual refresh, Ezeta Design has revealed the new home, away and goalkeeper shirts for Cavese 1919, which features the new club crest, inspired by the town’s symbol, the two-tailed Mermaid.
Following on from its impressive work on Alba Roma 1907 and Vesta Calcio, Italian design studio Ezeta has unveiled its latest project, with a brand refresh for Cavese 1919, which includes a new home, away and goalkeeper shirt set. As part of the rebrand, Ezeta have also worked with designer Dan Norris, who set about reimagining the previously busy club crest, bringing it into a more contemporary-yet-classic space. And it's this crest that has then been repeated as a sublimated graphic throughout the set of shirts.
So, a quick bit about the team – like Alba Roma and Vesta Calcio, you won’t find Cavese 1919 ripping it up in Serie A… nor Serie B… nor C, or even D for that matter. No, these are essentially non-league teams, plucked out of relative obscurity to serve Ezeta as the perfect platform on which to flex its creative muscles.
Cavese 1919 is the local team of Città di Cave; Cave is a small town in the Lazio region of Rome, and the club have a strong academy setup. The town’s symbol is a two-tailed mermaid, born from one of the last naval battles of the renaissance period, and it is this symbol that forms the basis of the whole kit and club refresh.
The shirts are presented in a template format, with the colours changing for the different strips. The home is presented in a sky blue with white trim, the away in a darker blue tone, again with white trim, while the keepers get their choice of three different colourways, with a warm yellow & petrol green option lining up alongside black with blue trim and turquoise with white. The Cavese Crest is a woven badge finish with embroidered edge, while the Ezeta Logo is a silicon transfer.
All jerseys feature the twin-tailed mermaid of the new club crest repeating throughout, while they're all also finished with the club name ‘Cavese 1919’ appearing through collar and cuffs in what is unique execution that serves to identify the club.
The Cavese 1919 jerseys are available for preorder from now until 20 February at calcioitalia.com
