With the 2023 Chilean Primera Division Season well underway and the home shirt already having been released last month, adidas complete the standard set for Colo Colo with the launch of the new away shirt, which was debuted in a friendly against Colón this week.
The 2023 Chilean Primera Division is eight games in, and the unveiling of the home shirt last month is now followed up by the reveal of the away shirt. The current Chilean champions have got off to a shaky start, but the international break has come at just the right time, with a fresh return coupled with a new look for away games sure to be what they needed. The new away design brings back a look that has not been in use for several decades, moving in a different direction from the more traditional black colours.
The home shirt is predominantly white, introducing a tricoloured collar in red, white, and blue, nodding to the nation’s flag. The logos and Three Stripe branding on chest and shoulders appear in a contrasting black.
The Santiago-based side then opt for a red away shirt – a colour last seen on the 2020 third shirt, but that has not been used as an away colour since the late 1980s. The design features black embellishments, most notably in the stylised stripe that runs vertically behind the full-colour crest. Collar, cuffs and the Three Stripes on the shoulders are also black, although the latter two are bordered by white, which ties in nicely with the chest branding and sponsor.
