On Saturday, 8 April, Hellas Verona will take on Sassuolo at the Marcantonio Bentigodi stadium, and they will do so in a special shirt from Macron, produced to celebrate the club’s 120th anniversary.
Founded in 1903 by a group of high school students, Hellas Verona now celebrates its 120th anniversary, and as part of the celebrations the club have had a special, limited edition shirt created by technical sponsor, Macron. Only 500 copies of the shirt have been produced, and that includes those that will be used by the team for Saturday’s game at the Bentegodi. The design features several subtle callouts and references to the history of the club.
The shirt lands with a 50/50 split design, itself a nod to the first style the club ever used, albeit that was black and white. Here it comes in yellow and blue – colours adopted soon there after by the club.
A sublimated version of the Mastiff crest appears throughout the shirt, repeated 120 times, acknowledging every year of Hellas Verona’s existence, interrupted only in correspondence with the 1984/85 season, where the Scudetto logo stands out with the wording 'Champions of Italy’. The crest on the left of the chest is based on the city of Verona's coat of arms and it carries an anniversary inscription, as does the inside of the collar.
Finally, the inside of the collar contains the limited edition number of the shirt alongside the lyrics of one of the Gialloblù songs.
The Hellas Verona 120 year anniversary kit is already available at the Hellas Store in Cattaneo and on hvstore.it .
