Lazio Unveil Special Anniversary Kit From Mizuno

To celebrate the 10-year anniversary of the club’s historic Coppa Italia victory in 2013, Mizuno has produced a special anniversary jersey for Serie A side, SS lazio.

While derby matches across the globe always carry an added level of intensity, when two local rivals meet in a cup competition, that rivalry is instantly intensified. So imagine the scenes when Lazio and Roma faced off in the final of the Coppa Italia in 2013. Now, 10 years on from that iconic match, Mizuno have produced a special anniversary shirt to commemorate Lazio’s win, sealed by a single goal from Senad Lulic in the 71st minute.

The shirt is presented in a regal black and gold look, with many details incorporated into the design to embellish it and make it even more unique and special. These include the Roman numeral "X" printed on the hem of the ribbed sleeves, representing the 10th anniversary, the slogan “l’Aquila è Roma” (the Eagle is Rome) printed in gold silicone on the upper back as a reference to the iconic Olympia eagle, a mark of pride given the victory over their city rivals, with the number “10” appearing in the collar.

On the front of the shirt, the historical date of the victory "26.05.2013" appears in the centre of the the chest, flanked on either side by the Mizuno Runbird logo and the official Club crest, both of which are silicone printed in gold, recalling the glittering colour of the trophy.

The body of the shirt features an embossed honeycomb patter, lending the design a luxurious feel while also recalling the shirt worn in the final.

The shirt is accompanied by shorts and socks and by a capsule collection of clothing and accessories, including a track jacket, a t-shirt, a cap, a scarf, a backpack, a gymsack and a ball.
