Set to debut in both the men’s and women’s final games of the season, VfL Wolfsburg have unveiled their new home and away kits for 23/24 from Nike.
With the men’s team fighting for a place in Europe next season in their final fixture, and the women’s team pushing for the title, VfL Wolfsburg as a club are hunting as a pack, and they’ll be doing so in their last matches of the 22/23 season in their new kits for 23/24. The club revealed both new strips in one go, as they did last year, and, like last year, we get a similar combination of colours across both.
For the home shirt, it’s a traditional light green look, although it’s interrupted on the lower left side by a white section that stretches across in a diagonal line, interspersed with the green to give a “torn” effect. That white section only appears on the front, with the rear of the shirt coming in solid light green.
For the away, it’s again a darker affair, with a dark grey base in the body. That’s topped off with a green marble effect that plays out across the shoulders, with the collar, branding, sponsor logo and club crest all taking on the light green of the home shirt.
Both shirt designs are then finished with a special logo on the collar to mark the 85th anniversary of the City of Wolfsburg.
VfL fans will get a first glimpse of the new shirts on Saturday, when Niko Kovac's charges face Hertha BSC at home as they look to secure European qualification, and on Sunday when the women play their last league game against SC Freiburg.
