Drawing on tradition, but also projecting towards the future, Nike has launched the new Inter Milan away kit for 23/24, and it’s set to get its debut in the preseason friendly against PSG on 1 August.
Inter rarely veer away from a white jersey as their away option, and this season is no different, with the tried and trusted formula given a slight revamp to sit alongside the new home shirt. The new away design features a black and blue diagonal stripe, just like the one that featured on the jersey that the Nerazzurri wore in 1963/64, a campaign where they won their first European Cup. 60 years later, although the design has evolved and now includes an updated digital pattern that resembles the mosaics found in Milano.
The visual revamp comes not on the white background, but by the crossed diagonal stripe, which sees black and blue merging and switching in the middle. That pixelated break presents the perfect space for the newly announced Paramount+ sponsor to sit. The details inside the back neck maintain an air of familiarity away from home with the flag of Milan and the club colours in mosaic style.
As with the home kit, the away strip boasts advanced Nike technology and sustainable design features. Over 75 percent of all Nike Football clothing is made using 100 percent recycled polyester, which reduces CO2 emissions and helps keep an average of one billion plastic bottles out of landfills and rivers every year.
