As the final piece to their 23/24 kit set, Athens Kallithea FC have revealed their new third shirt, which arrives in a rich gold shade, lining up alongside the already released home and away shirts for the season.
Athens Kallithea are quickly establishing themselves not as successors to Venezia, but as worthy contemporaries in the same football-fashion space, and it’s a position that’s further cemented with the reveal of their new Kappa third shirt for 23/24, which is available in both long-sleeve and short-sleeve versions. The kit is once again released under the watchful eye of Ted Philipakos, the man who expertly oversaw the rise of Venezia as a force in football culture, and with the assistance of design studio, Bureau Borsche.
Following on from last season's home, away and third shirts, this season's third shirt arrives in a rich gold shade with blue accompaniments in the collar and cuffs and red stitch lines that altogether instantly bring to mind Arsenal’s 2001/02 away shirt – and that’s no bad thing.
As with their recently released 23/24 home and away shirts, the third shirt features the ΕΜΣΤ wordmark of the National Museum of Contemporary Art Athens, as part of a first-of-its-kind partnership between the two institutions.
The third shirt lines up alongside the aforementioned home and away shirts for a triumphant triumvirate. The home shirt features a navy base with delicate horizontal pinstripes and a red pop in the polo-style collar. The away shirt saw an elegant white base overlaid by vertical pinstripes, with golden accents elevating the whole presentation.
