Following on from this season’s kit drops, hummel has revealed a new limited-edition ‘Equality’ prematch jersey, created for seven international football clubs. This initiative serves as a celebration of the brand’s century-long commitment to promoting equality and inclusivity in the world of sports.
This season, as part of the brand’s 100-year anniversary celebrations, Danish brand Hummel has rolled out one of its most iconic templates for the majority of its roster, utilising the Denmark 1986 World Cup kit. Now, continuing that unifying trend that was present for the kits, the brand has produced a special limited edition ‘Equality’ prematch jersey for Real Betis, Las Palmas, Everton, Southampton, Coventry City, FC Köln, and Brøndby IF.
The design of the Equality Jersey is once again inspired by the iconic Denmark ’86 jersey, and it arrives in an eye-catching and vibrant colour scheme, designed to raise awareness and inspire positive change.
As part of the campaign, several of the clubs will be wearing the Equality Jersey as their warm-up shirt for home games on the weekends of 30 September/1 October or 7/8 October, creating a powerful statement of unity and inclusivity.
“This jersey is more than just a piece of sportswear; it’s a symbol of our enduring commitment to equality and unity. Equality is a cornerstone of our brand's ethos, and we are immensely proud to stand shoulder to shoulder with seven of our biggest football clubs to promote this important agenda,” said hummel CEO, Allan Vad Nielsen. “In the world of sports, we’re all equal - regardless of our backgrounds, gender, or beliefs. It is not only acceptable but also commendable to embrace our differences and be true to ourselves. Through our Equality Jersey, we aim to unite coaches, players, and fans from different clubs, spotlighting this essential value and sparking positive change in our sports community and beyond.”
The limited-edition Equality Jersey is available for purchase online on the participating clubs' platforms.
