Ready to go again, adidas equip Brazilian side Flamengo with a new home shirt for 2024. The new design sees the traditional “Rubro-Negro” hoops given a slight tweak, with the red hoops thinning as they descend.
Rio De Janeiro-based side Flamengo have revealed their new home kit for 2024 from adidas, shortly before debuting it in a club friendly against Orlando City SC. The Campeonato Brasileiro Série A outfit took a brief break from their domestic competition to provide some competition for the MLS side, who are gearing up for the start of the 2024 MLS season, and it was for this match that the Mengão wore their new kit.
The new kit follows the traditional red and black hoop design that Flamengo are known for, but presents them in a gradient design that sees the red hoops getting ever thinner the further down the torso you travel. The shoulders and sleeves are black, playing host to the red Three Stripes that ride down – a look that is all the more impressive on the long sleeve variation of the shirt. The branding, sponsor and crest then take on silvery white colours, with a standout feature being the number set on the back, which features a unique look.
