Hot on the heels of the recently revealed home and away shirts, Kappa have unveiled the new Tunisia third shirt, which the Carthage Eagles will wear for the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations.
A few days after revealing the new home and away shirts, Kappa and the Tunisian Football Federation have now presented the third jersey for the African nation, which pays homage to the Unesco World Heritage City, Sidi Bou Said. Where the home and away are red and white respectively, this third shirt follows a similar template, complete with vintage polo collar, but it arrives in a luxurious royal blue colour scheme as a nod to Tunisia’s location and proximity to the Mediterranean.
The front of the jersey is decorated with a tone-on-tone pattern inspired by the famous traditional mosaics of Sidi Bou Said, a village located on the seaside a few kilometers from the Tunisian capital. Nicknamed the “little white and blue paradise”, this seaside resort, formerly attached to the city of Carthage, is particularly distinguished for the coloring of its houses, their facades and doors, but also for its ceramic mosaics.
In order to continue the traditional red and white colours that were prominent on the home and away, a pattern featuring the bougainvillea flower, emblem of Sidi Bou Said, features at the bottom of the sleeves.
As with the home and away shirts, the Kappa and FTF logos are worked in iridescence to bring a modern touch to the outfit.
