Seattle Sounders Reveal 2024-25 Primary Jersey From adidas

In celebration of their 50th year, Seattle Sounders have unveiled their new primary jersey: The Anniversary Kit. Featuring a versatile design with a bold fusion of tradition and progress, it reflects Seattle's status as one of North American soccer's most iconic clubs.

Inspired by the club’s history and heritage, The Sounders’ Anniversary Kit pays tribute to their first 50 years while marking the beginning of their next 50. The pinstripes design is an homage to their home and away kits from the 1983 NASL season, with a modern twist incorporating their evolved visual identity – the focal point of that being the inclusion of the current primary Rave Green as the base colour, while the light blue stripes with dark green accents call back to the home jerseys and shorts from 1974.

The word mark at the bottom of the jersey is another nod to Sounders’ NASL crest, while the incorporation of a wave element that has been present in all their pre-MLS logos pays homage to The Sound and represents their home at the water’s edge.

Their tertiary mark, the orca, is emblazoned across the back of the jersey’s neck. Inspired by the logos from the APSL and A-League eras, the orca embraces the club’s roots and celebrates Seattle in a way that is both retro and modern.

Finally, the shirt is paired up with shorts that hearken back to the club’s inaugural 1974 colour palette. Together, the kit provides a fresh interpretation of the traditional blue and green that’s defined Sounders throughout the MLS era.
