Once again fusing high-end fashion and the pinnacle of sport, Y-3 and Real Madrid present their latest collaborative Matchwear collection, which is accompanied by a special edition Predator 24.
Having launched a new collaborative travel collection back at the beginning of the month, Real Madrid and Y-3 now follow that up with a new collaborative Matchwear collection. The design of the new collection centres on a signature rose motif that takes inspiration from the early days of the collaboration between adidas and Yohji Yamamoto, when roses were the graphic of choice and became the iconic signature of the renowned Japanese fashion designer.
The collection itself is highlighted by a purple 4th kit for both the Real Madrid Men’s and Women’s teams. Story and identity come together in the Matchwear kit through the colours of Real Madrid, where purple is a key shade within the club’s DNA. In addition to the 4th kit, the collection features two goalkeeper kits – one in black and one in orange – as well as a white pre-match selection including a top, a pair of shorts, and an anthem jacket.
Arriving as an accompaniment to the Real Madrid collection, adidas are also releasing a special edition Predator 24 and Goalkeeper gloves. The Predator 24 has already been spotted in a Real Madrid training session on the feet of Nacho, and it is likely that when Jude Bellingham and David Alaba are done with their international duty, they will switch into these boots. The design sees a luxe off-white base the fold-over tongue highlighted in a contrasting black.
