Released in cooperation with Amnesty International to set a statement against discrimination, BSC Young Boys have revealed a special edition kit from Nike, which they debuted in the 3-0 win over Grasshoppers.
Last year, Swiss side BSC Young Boys rightly got a lot of love for their elegant 125-year anniversary shirt from Nike. This year, they have another sleek special edition, but this one comes with a very different message, designed to make a statement against racism, anti-Semitism, homophobia, sexism, and discrimination of any kind in the hopes of a diverse and open society. The ‘YBForEveryone’ kit once again features a black look, although this time with hits of shimmering reflective material that shone on the pitch as it was debuted in the 3-0 victory against Grasshoppers at the Wankdorf Stadium.
The black base of the special edition ‘YBForEveryone’ jersey features reflective elements such as the YB logo, the Nike swoosh, Amnesty International's Candle for Freedom, the club’s founding year on the sleeve and fine stripes that border the body. The championship badge and the sponsor prints with an elegant 3D effect are completely blacked out, while the jersey numbers are refined with the hashtag #YBFOREVERYONE.
