Landing just days after Celta Vigo announced their new five-year kit sponsorship deal with hummel (replacing long-term partners adidas), the Danish brand has revealed the new 2024/25 home kit design for the Spanish club.
Celta Vigo and hummel have commenced a new five-year partnership this year, and it gets underway with the club’s new home shirt. Inspired by shirts of the 1920s in reference to both the club and the brand’s founding year (1923), the design incorporates significant symbolism for the Celta community and pays tribute to the club’s roots.
Hummel’s first design for Celta includes the names of the 313 municipalities in the Galician geography, sublimated in the sky-blue fabric. Each of these municipalities has its space on the new jersey, visible through the typography designed by legendary local artist Xosé Vizoso.
The jersey also features a retro collar that mimics the early Celta kits, marked by the classic laces characteristic of jerseys from 100 years ago. Additionally, the iconic chevrons of the Danish brand are included on the shoulders, along with the classic Hummel logo. The classic Celta crest on the chest is restored after the Centenary celebrations.
