Revealed on their preseason tour Stateside, Chelsea and Nike have launched the club’s 24/25 away shirt. The design picks up on the orange tones used in the home shirt for a nice bit of continuity.
Following fairly swiftly on from the reveal of their new home shirt for the 24/25 season, Chelsea have now revealed their new away shirt while on their U.S. pre-season tour. The design sees the ‘blue flame’ theme from home kit continuing on, with the orange accent colour representing the “fire and the shared ambition, burning passion and determination of the whole club to succeed both on and off the pitch”. Fair enough, can’t argue with that. On a visual level, what we get is a clean white base (actually ‘Guava Ice’), accented by these ‘Team Orange’ pops, which are coupled with the ‘Rush Blue’ of the home kit.
The orange is most prominent on the custom crest, created for this season, while it also borders the Swoosh on the right of the chest. Its final appearance is on the cuffs, where it is once again coupled with the blue, while the collar and side panels are a block of blue only.
As with the home shirt and last season’s kits upon their reveal, the new away does not currently feature a sponsor. It makes the design look even cleaner, but it won’t stay that way. You’ll be able to pick it up sponsor-free for the time being, so if that’s your preference, best not hang around as once the club have a new sponsor deal confirmed, it will take residence in its traditional front-of-shirt spot.
Expect to see this new kit getting a run out in one of Chelsea’s upcoming preseason matches. Next, they face Club América before taking on Man City, Real Madrid and then Inter Milan.
