Southwark Stars Disability FC Reach A Milestone With Their 24/25 Kit Drop

Using the power of football to provide life-changing experiences for adults with a learning disability, Southwark Stars Disability FC celebrate their fifth anniversary with a new kit launch that breaks new ground for the club.

We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again: football’s for everyone. And with that in mind, in among the giant global teams dropping their new kits for the coming campaign, it’s nice to shine a light on a smaller outfit that’s just as deserving of the attention. And here, it’s Southwark Stars Disability FC, who celebrate their fifth anniversary with the reveal of their new home kit for the 24/25 season.

Southwark Stars Disability FC use the power of football to provide life-changing experiences for adults with a learning disability and have quickly become pioneers in disability football. Now into their fifth year, their new kit comes under the banner, ‘A New Chapter’, celebrating the club’s first ever sponsorship deal and championing the inclusion of disabled people in football and society.

The sponsorship and new kit feels like a breakthrough moment for Southwark Stars and disability football, with founder Louis Wickett-Padgham commenting: “People with learning disabilities are underrepresented and disability football is often overlooked and forgotten.

Since officially affiliating as a football club in 2019, we’ve wanted our players achievements to be recognised and disability football to be seen and heard. Our exciting kit launch aims to do just that. We’re super pleased with the outcome and thankful for the support from those involved, including our new sponsors.

Alin Kovacs, Founder of Tutti, the branding and communication studio who have guided the club through the kit launch production process, said: “Southwark Stars and their players deserve to belong. We wanted to use the power of football and fashion to shape a positive perspective on their community. Also, professional football club’s kit launches have become more fashion conscious, both street style and premium, and we feel that we’ve captured a perfect balance between the two.”

As for the kit, it represents everything that Southwark Stars have become known for: boldness in orange, waves symbolising their dynamism, and their star badge, most importantly, representing their players.

Southwark Stars are leading the way for grassroots disability football and they’re looking good whilst doing so.
