Inspired by the Bremen flag, serving as a representation of the shared identity between the city and club, Werder Bremen have revealed their new home shirt for the 24/25 season from hummel.
Earlier this year, Werder Bremen kicked off celebrations for their 125th anniversary by releasing a special edition jersey, and that was followed up with a special edition sneaker from hummel. Now though, those celebrations are shelved with the presentation of their new home shirt for the 24/25 season, which boasts a design that’s inspired by the Bremen flag.
The pattern of Bremen's “Speckflagge” has been integrated into the shirt’s design, embodying the city’s heart and soul. By doing this, hummel highlights the connectivity between the club and the city in a tangible way that will likely resonate with fans. It symbolises the collective unity, passion, and togetherness present at the Weserstadion week upon week. Then, as a nice nod to the stadium’s location in the centre of the city, the club logo takes up a central position on the chest.

I really like the integration of the Speckflagge and am looking forward to seeing the team play in this kit in front of our fans at the Weserstadion for the first time,” said Klaus Filbry, CEO of Werder Bremen.
And fans won’t have to wait long for the kits debut either – it’s set to be worn this coming in the friendly against FC Verden 04) at the Stadion am Berliner Ring – the home of the club's main sponsor, MATTHÄI.
