Bohemian FC Unveil 2025 Third Jersey In Partnership With Fontaines D.C.

Bohemian FC, Ireland’s oldest and only 100 percent fan-owned club, has teamed up with Fontaines D.C. to launch their 2025 third jersey — a powerful collaboration that blends music, sport, and solidarity.

Building on their 2021 collaboration, which raised funds to combat homelessness in Ireland, Bohemian FC and Fontaines D.C. join forces once again, with the new 2025 third jersey also acting as a statement of support for Medical Aid for Palestinians, with 30 percent of the profits going directly to their emergency relief efforts in Gaza. Designed by Fontaines D.C.’s own Carlos O’Connell alongside Bohemians’ creative team, the shirt takes inspiration from Fontaines D.C.’s critically acclaimed 2024 album ROMANCE, with the shirt’s vibrant colour scheme reflecting the album’s aesthetic, while the bold, embroidered Palestinian flag on the hem, paired with the words ‘Saoirse don Phalaistín’ (Irish for “Free Palestine”), makes it clear that this is about more than just football.

A short film directed by Jamie Goldrick brings the launch to life, set to ROMANCE track ‘Horseness is the Whatness’. Shot at Dalymount Park—Bohemian FC’s iconic home ground in the heart of Dublin—the video captures the spirit of the club, its community, and the wider cultural influence of Fontaines D.C. A key lyric from the track, “I thought it twas love”, is printed around the neck of the shirt, tying the collaboration back to the emotional pulse of the album.

Daniel Lambert, Bohemian FC, COO commented: We are delighted to unveil this jersey following lots of work over the past few months with Fontaines, in particular Carlos as main designer and Trevor Dietz (manager). The rise of the band, since their days rehearsing in a garage in Phibsboro and early photoshoots in Dalymount has been spectacular, ‘Romance’ is an album that sits alongside the very best Irish albums of all-time. Even more impressive is to see them continuously highlight and speak about Palestine to bigger and bigger crowds and be unrelenting in their moral convictions.

That we can raise further significant funds for Medical Aid for Palestinians through the shirt at such a tragic time once again shows the power of Sports and Music when combined. Medical Aid for Palestinians were one of the our three partners on funds raised from our game against the Palestinian women’s team in May, their first time playing in Europe, and also a beneficiary from our screening of the movie ‘Gaza’ in Dalymount in late 2023.

Maddie Powell, Medical Aid for Palestinians Representative:

MAP works for the health and dignity of Palestinians living under occupation and as refugees. We provide immediate medical aid to those in great need, while also developing local capacity and skills to ensure the long-term development of the Palestinian healthcare system. The money raised by this very special shirt by Bohemian FC and Fontaines D.C. will go towards providing lifesaving care in Gaza, the West Bank and Lebanon. We are incredibly grateful for their support and the difference this will make.

This further action builds on the brilliant work of the club in playing the Palestinian National team in Dublin earlier this year from which we also received a significant donation.

Carlos O’Connell, Guitarist of Fontaines D.C. said: “There’s few institutions in this world who stand strong and unyielding against oppression. Bohemian F.C. is one of them and being a small part of this club has been an honour for us in FDC for a few years now. We will always stand with them and their values.

The exclusive Bohemian FC x Fontaines D.C. 2025 third shirt is available to order now at bohemianfc.com and will be shipped from Monday, 9 December.
