Back for a second instalment of the brand’s specialised treatment, Ezeta present the Boreale 24/25 home and third jerseys, which come with the expected signature style of the Italians, inspired by the mosaics within the mausoleum of Santa Costanza.
Back in May 2023 Ezeta added Eccellenza side Boreale ASD to their roster of sides for whom they had created a new visual identity, using the history of the region to produce some extravagant football shirt designs. And now they follow that up with a fresh home and third jersey, with typically lavish designs, this time drawing inspiration from the mosaics within the mausoleum of Santa Costanza, the 4th-century church in Rome, Italy, on the Via Nomentana, which runs north-east out of the city.
As always with Ezeta, their designs go deep. Ready for some history? Here goes. The mausoleum was built in the mid-4th century to house the relics of Constantina, daughter of Constantine, who is venerated by the Catholic Church as Saint Costanza. According to legend, Costanza, afflicted by an incurable illness, visited the tomb of Saint Agnes in Rome, where she was miraculously healed and converted to Christianity. The marvellously intricate mosaics decorating the mausoleum's vaults are among the oldest still preserved in Rome, and it is here that Ezeta have turned to for inspiration.
The home shirt comes in the traditional purple colours, presented in tonal effects, with a beautiful sublimated pattern depicting the mosaic decorations, lifted from the Santa Costanza and perfectly recreated on the shirt.
The third shirt design then features a golden base colour, accented with black to help the naturalistic scenes pop all the more in the design. It sees the crest and branding centralised, with its black outlined elements standing in contrast to the lighter gold.
