Borrusia Dortmund Drop Special Neon Jersey In Honour of Their 94/95 Season

Borussia Dortmund have unveiled a special neon jersey which will be worn in their home game this weekend, inspired by the legendary jersey from the 1994/95 season. It pays homage to the historic team that won the Bundesliga for the first time in 32 years and brought euphoria to the city of Dortmund.

This Saturday, Borussia Dortmund will take on FC Augsburg at home in a new vibrant jersey. The neon jersey pulls inspiration from the 1994/95 kit that saw the city of Dortmund celebrate their first Bundesliga title in 32 years. This year, the club want to look back on that special season 30 years ago which brought so much joy to their club and city.

BVB during the 90’s represented a special spirit, where bravery and style was heavily encouraged. The neon jersey from 94/95 was a loud and daring design, unlike any others of its time. The new jersey is crafted to embody the spirit of that season and encourage people to go their own way – to be bold, loud and colourful.

The jersey itself arrives in a neon yellow base, taking over most of the shirt. Black patterns create a disruptive design across the sleeves, on both short and long version. A v-neck collar fashions a zebra-like pattern, which also features on the sleeve cuffs. Black again adorns the Puma logo and BVB crest, sticking to the neon yellow and black colourway. The goalkeeper kit takes on a different colourway, modelling a smooth purple with the same detailing on the collar and sleeve cuffs.
